PD Fast Charging
PD fast charging could be used for extending the total power supply of the cable by increasing the power delivery through the connector of the cable. This protocol allows higher voltages and currents to pass through, delivering up to 100 watts of power; also it allows power delivery to change directions freely. The Type-C interface supports up to 5V/3A by default, but after the implementation of the PD protocol, it could support the output power up to 100W.
